The Ensemble MusicaVenezia will perform beautiful baroque music for "Carnival in Venice 2009", dressed in historical 17th-century costumes from the famous Atelier Nicolai and playing authentic baroque instruments. The concerts include an enchanting love song by Claudio Monteverdi, an important figure in the Venetian music world, who wrote not only sacred music for St. Mark’s Basilica but also erotic love songs entertain for the nobility.
